CABBAGE PARATHA RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Wheat flour
  • ¾ cup Cabbage chopped or grated
  • 2 Green chilli finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Sambar powder or red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger very finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Oil plus as need for cooking
  • Salt
  • Water – As needed

Instructions

  • Mix flour, cabbage, green chilli, sambar powder, coriander leaves, salt, oil and ginger well and then sprinkle water little by little to make a stiff,non sticky, yet pliable dough.
  • Roll in to thin parathas with generous flour dusting.
  • Toast in tawa both sides until golden brown spots appear.
  • Drizzle oil if desired.

Notes

  1. I have tried both grating and chopping the cabbage, both comes out very nice.
  2. If you are grating the cabbage, one thing you have to be careful is with water quantity, takes very very less water.
  3. Adding oil in the dough helps to make the parathas soft and rolling easy…
  4. You can add oil in the dough and reduce accordingly while cooking.
  5. Ginger is very nice add to this paratha, so make sure you add it.
