Ingredients
- 1 cup brown rice
- 6 cups water
- optional seasonings
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. You’ll need at least 6 cups of water for every 1 cup of rice. Rinse the rice in a fine mesh strainer under running water to remove the excess starch.
- Add the rice to the boiling water. Reduce the temperature to maintain a steady boil. Boil, uncovered, for 30 minutes.
- Drain off the excess cooking water and return the rice to the pot. Cover the pot and let the rice rest, off the heat, for about 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork and season as desired. Serve and enjoy!
