Air Fryer Avocado Fries

Ingredients

  • 1 large avocado , cut into 1/2-inch wedges
  • 1 large egg , beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) salt
  • fresh cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) breading (breadcrumbs, panko, crushed pork rinds, etc.)
  • 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) grated parmesan cheese

  • malt vinegar

  • Perforated Silicone Mats , optional
  • Air Fryer Parchment Paper , optional

Instructions 

  1. Pre-heat air fryer at 380°F/193°C for 5 minutes.Touching the Air Fryer panel
  2. In one bowl, beat the egg. In another bowl combine the 1/4 cup of breading and the 2 Tablespoons o fparmesan cheese.Combining breading
  3. Season with salt and pepper evenly over avocado. Coat the avocado with the beaten egg. Gently turn to coat evenly.Brushing egg on avocado slices
  4. Dip the avocado in the breading/parmesan mix and shake off excess. Spray all sides of the coated avocado with oil spray. Dry coating might fly around in air fryer and burn, so make sure to coat any dry spots.Coating avocado with breading
  5. Spray air fryer basket/tray with oil or use a perforated silicone mat or perforated parchment paper, and place coated avocado wedges in a single even layer (air fry in batches if needed.)Uncooked avocado fries in air fryer
  6. Air Fry at 380°F/193°C for 5-8 minutes. Gently flip and spray any dry spots with oil spray.Half cooked avocado fries in air fryer

If your air fryer is preheated or if you are cooking multiple batches, you may need to reduce timing by a few minutes (unless preheating is called for in the recipe).
