{"id":2501,"date":"2023-08-29T13:33:53","date_gmt":"2023-08-29T13:33:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=2501"},"modified":"2023-09-14T05:43:24","modified_gmt":"2023-09-14T05:43:24","slug":"poha-dosa-recipe-soft-and-easy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/08\/29\/poha-dosa-recipe-soft-and-easy\/13\/33\/2501\/53\/appdev2098\/countries-breakfast\/indian-countries-breakfast\/","title":{"rendered":"Poha Dosa Recipe (Soft and Easy)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If you have tried and failed to get a soft and tender dosa texture, you are in for a treat today with the new Poha Dosa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INGREDIENTS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2\u00a0cups\u00a0idli rice or White rice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0cup\u00a0Thick Poha<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc\u00a0cup\u00a0Split Black Gram\/ Urad dal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0Methi seed\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0Fenugreek<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INSTRUCTIONS&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Direction to prepare and ferment batter:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Soak the rice, poha, urad dal, and methi seeds in water for 5 hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wash them well with at least one more batch of freshwater.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Separate the grains from water and blend them to a smooth consistency, pouring water just as needed to get a flowy consistency. Check my video for reference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer this to the inner pot in your Instant Pot, press the \u201cYogurt\u201d setting, and let it sit for about 9 hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the end of the timer, gently stir the fermented batter once and add water to thin it down (if necessary) just a little to bring it to a pouring consistency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add salt to taste. The Dosa batter is ready.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directions to prepare Dosa:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grease a dosa pan or tawa with a few drops of oil. If using a non-stick pan, you do not need any oil.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heat the pan on a medium flame for about 2-4 minutes and pour a ladle full of batter on the center of the Tawa and swirl and spread it around, quickly to cover the base of the pan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drizzle oil and allow to cook on medium-high heat with a cover on top.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cook until the top appears cooked and sides turn golden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cook on both sides if you desire.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Repeat the procedure with the remaining batter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poha Dosa is now ready to be served hot paired with coconut chutney or Onion Sambar.
