{"id":3089,"date":"2023-09-05T07:11:41","date_gmt":"2023-09-05T07:11:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=3089"},"modified":"2023-09-05T07:11:42","modified_gmt":"2023-09-05T07:11:42","slug":"traditional-lechon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/09\/05\/traditional-lechon\/07\/11\/3089\/41\/appdev2098\/filipino-recipes-two\/unique\/","title":{"rendered":"Traditional Lechon"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Whole pig (approximately 20kg) &#8211; 1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Soy sauce &#8211; to taste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt &#8211; 600-700g<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pepper &#8211; 600-700g<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For Stuffing:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lemongrass &#8211; 10-15 bundles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bay leaves, cut into small pieces &#8211; 6<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Star anise &#8211; 60-65ml<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Garlic, crushed &#8211; 1 1\/4 kg<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Green onion leaves &#8211; 2kg<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(optional) Halved saba bananas, boiled to half cook &#8211; 8 pieces<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For Glazing:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>7up &#8211; 1 litre (the magic ingredient)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Start by removing the entrails of your pig and its hair (scalping).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wash the pig clean with boiling water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rub salt and pepper on the meat thoroughly and rub the insides with soy sauce.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now, stuff the insides with bay leaves, star anise, garlic, green onion leaves, and halved saba bananas.
