{"id":3364,"date":"2023-09-10T13:34:14","date_gmt":"2023-09-10T13:34:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=3364"},"modified":"2023-09-10T13:34:17","modified_gmt":"2023-09-10T13:34:17","slug":"cabbage-pachadi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/09\/10\/cabbage-pachadi\/13\/34\/3364\/14\/appdev2098\/popular-indian-recipes\/cabbage\/","title":{"rendered":"Cabbage Pachadi"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For The Pachadi<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2\u00a0tablespoons\u00a0vegetable oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0split and husked black gram (white urad dal)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0Bengal gram lentil (chana dal)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0asafetida (hing)\u00a0(skip for gluten-free)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0cumin seeds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2\u00a0cups\u00a0shredded cabbage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2-3\u00a0whole Kashmiri dry red chili\u00a0(stalks removed)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0salt\u00a0(or to taste)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0tamarind paste\u00a0(or to taste)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For Tempering<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0vegetable oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0black mustard seeds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10-12\u00a0curry leaves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1-2\u00a0whole dry red chilies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cook The Cabbage<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the oil is hot, add urad dal, chana dal, asafetida, cumin seeds, and dry red chilies and saute until they turn slightly brown (50-60 seconds), stirring frequently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add cabbage to the pan and mix well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce the heat to medium-low.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring a few times while cooking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the cabbage is cooked, remove the lid of the pan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add salt and tamarind paste to the pan and saute for a minute.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool down completely.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blend The Chutney<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Transfer the mixture to the small jar of a blender along with&nbsp;\u00bc&nbsp;cup water and grind to make a smooth chutney. Scrape the sides of the blender a few times while blending.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add some more water if the pachadi is thick for your liking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check for salt and tamarind paste and add more if required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Temper The Pachadi<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Heat oil in a small pan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and dry red chilies, and let them crackle for 4-5 seconds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour the tempering over the chutney and mix well.
