{"id":3548,"date":"2023-09-13T07:29:10","date_gmt":"2023-09-13T07:29:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=3548"},"modified":"2023-09-13T07:29:12","modified_gmt":"2023-09-13T07:29:12","slug":"kutchi-dabeli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/09\/13\/kutchi-dabeli\/07\/29\/3548\/10\/appdev2098\/healthy-indian-recipes\/sandwich-healthy-indian-recipes\/","title":{"rendered":"<strong>Kutchi Dabeli<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For The Stuffing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plantains 3 medium<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dabeli masala 1 tbsp ( refer notes)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hot Sweet and Sour Pepper Dip\u00a02 tbsp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Freshly grated coconut 2 tbsp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Roasted peanuts 2 to 3 tbsp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pomegranate pearls 2 tbsp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coriander\/ Cilantro 2 tbsp chopped finely<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oil 1 tbsp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For The Dabeli<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Laddi pav\/ Indian dinner rolls\/\u00a0Mini burger buns\u00a06<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stuffing 1 recipe<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Hot Sweet and Sour Pepper Dip<\/em>\u00a02 tbsp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dates and Tamarind Chutney 2 tbsp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nylon sev 3 tbsp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finely chopped onions 2 tbsp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coriander leaves 2 tbsp chopped finely<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Butter for toasting the bread<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Notes<\/strong><br>1. I used store bought dabeli masala as i did not see a point in making a jar full which i ll only be using once or twice in a year.<br>2. A traditional dabeli is made with potatoes. But i just experimented with plantains. Feel free to use regular potatoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pressure cook plantains until soft. Peel and mash. Set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a bowl, combine dabeli masala with\u00a0Hot Sweet and Sour Pepper Dip\u00a0and 1 tbsp water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whisk thoroughly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heat oil in a pan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the combined masala paste and saute for 30 secs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Immediately, tip in the mashed plantain mixture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add salt and mix well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cook till mixture turns almost dry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer to a plate and spread evenly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Let cool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add grated coconut, roasted peanuts, pomegranate and coriander to this and mix well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To make the Dabeli, take a pav and slice it at right angle but keep it joined at the side.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Smear\u00a0Hot Sweet and Sour Pepper Dip\u00a0on one side and the dates and tamarind chutney on the other side.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place about 2 tbsp of the stuffing inside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sprinkle a little of chopped onions, sev and coriander on the stuffing and seal the pav slightly by pressing the two sides together gently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heat a griddle and melt a small knob of butter on it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the stuffed pav on it and toast till the under side is golden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve immediately.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients For The Stuffing For The Dabeli Notes1.
