{"id":3663,"date":"2023-09-14T04:55:34","date_gmt":"2023-09-14T04:55:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=3663"},"modified":"2023-09-14T04:57:27","modified_gmt":"2023-09-14T04:57:27","slug":"tehri-vegetable-tehri","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/09\/14\/tehri-vegetable-tehri\/04\/55\/3663\/34\/appdev2098\/day-indian-recipes\/lunch\/","title":{"rendered":"Tehri | Vegetable Tehri"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INGREDIENTS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1&nbsp;cup&nbsp;Basmati rice&nbsp;White or brown<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;Potato&nbsp;large, peeled cubed into large pieces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2&nbsp;cup&nbsp;Cauliflower&nbsp;florets, cut into medium sized florets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4&nbsp;cup&nbsp;Tomato&nbsp;1 medium tomato, cubed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4&nbsp;cup&nbsp;Bell Peppers&nbsp;deseeded and cubed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2&nbsp;cup&nbsp;Peas&nbsp;fresh \/ frozen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;Ginger&nbsp;peeled and juilenned<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;TBSP&nbsp;Oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;Ghee&nbsp;Clarified butter , sub the ghee for 2 tsp of oil for vegan option<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;Cumin seeds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;Coriander Powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;Garam Masala powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;Turmeric Powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;Green coriander leaves&nbsp;chopped fine, opt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INSTRUCTIONS&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wash and soak rice for 15-20 mins. If using brown basmati, soak for 30 \u2013 45 mins.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a pan, add 1\/2 TBSP oil and 1 tsp ghee, fry the raw potatoes and cauliflowers one by one (I saut\u00e9ed them for 4-7 mins on low flame instead of the traditional deep fried veggies) till they soften a bit and get a golden crust. Keep aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a pressure cooker \/ Thick bottomed pan, add the remaining ghee and oil. Add the cumin seeds. Let them sizzle, Now add the soaked and drained rice and fry for 1-2 mins till aromatic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now tip in the saut\u00e9ed vegetables + the peas. Mix well taking care not to break the rice.
