{"id":3947,"date":"2023-09-15T05:14:55","date_gmt":"2023-09-15T05:14:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=3947"},"modified":"2023-10-22T05:42:30","modified_gmt":"2023-10-22T05:42:30","slug":"soft-gulab-jamun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/09\/15\/soft-gulab-jamun\/05\/14\/3947\/55\/appdev2098\/flavorful-recipes\/desserts-flavorful-recipes\/","title":{"rendered":"Soft Gulab Jamun"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INGREDIENTS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For cardamom syrup:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2&nbsp;cups&nbsp;granulated sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;cup&nbsp;water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10&nbsp;cardamom pods<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For gulab jamun<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1&nbsp;cup&nbsp;skim or full-cream milk powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc&nbsp;cup&nbsp;all purpose flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;baking powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2&nbsp;tbsp&nbsp;butter&nbsp;softened<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd&nbsp;cup&nbsp;whole milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>oil&nbsp;for frying<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INSTRUCTIONS&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To make the cardamom syrup, combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. &nbsp;Crush cardamom pods by pressing on them with the flat side of a chef&#8217;s knife, and add them to the saucepan. &nbsp;Cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves, then boil for one minute and turn off the heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a medium bowl, stir together milk powder, flour and baking powder. Add butter and use your fingers to work it into the dry mixture until well incorporated. Add milk, using a very light hand, stir until just combined. &nbsp;Let mixture stand 10-15 minutes (it will thicken up).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meanwhile, heat oil in a shallow saucepan to a depth of 1&#8243; over medium heat for about 5 minutes. &nbsp;Add a drop of batter to the oil to test to see if it is the right temperature &#8211; if it sizzles but doesn&#8217;t immediately change colour, it&#8217;s ready. &nbsp;If it floats and starts to brown immediately, it&#8217;s too hot (remove from burner for a minute and reduce the heat; test again before proceeding). &nbsp;If it sinks and doesn&#8217;t sizzle, it is not hot enough.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drop dough by tablespoonfuls into the hot oil, cooking about 5 at a time. Using a slotted spoon, turn gulab jamun frequently until well browned and doubled in size, 4-6 minutes. &nbsp;Remove gulab jamun as they are reading, letting excess oil drip back into saucepan.
