{"id":4443,"date":"2023-09-24T12:43:09","date_gmt":"2023-09-24T12:43:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=4443"},"modified":"2023-09-24T12:43:10","modified_gmt":"2023-09-24T12:43:10","slug":"thai-crab-fried-rice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/09\/24\/thai-crab-fried-rice\/12\/43\/4443\/09\/appdev2098\/thai-food-recipes\/rice\/","title":{"rendered":"Thai Crab Fried Rice"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3\u00a0tablespoons\u00a0neutral cooking oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;shallot&nbsp;peeled and thinly sliced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2&nbsp;tablespoons&nbsp;ginger&nbsp;freshly minced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6&nbsp;cloves&nbsp;garlic&nbsp;peeled and minced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4&nbsp;scallions&nbsp;trimmed and minced, divided<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3&nbsp;tablespoons&nbsp;soy sauce&nbsp;plus more, if desired<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2&nbsp;tablespoons&nbsp;fish sauce&nbsp;more or less, to taste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;tablespoon&nbsp;sambal oolek&nbsp;optional<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0Shaoxing wine\u00a0optional<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc&nbsp;teaspoon&nbsp;ground white pepper<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;lime&nbsp;juiced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4&nbsp;cups&nbsp;cooked white rice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2&nbsp;eggs&nbsp;whisked until smooth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd&nbsp;cup&nbsp;fresh cilantro&nbsp;finely chopped<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>16&nbsp;ounces&nbsp;jumbo lump crab meat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt and pepper to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cook the Aromatics:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Heat the oil in a wok over medium-high heat until very hot.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the shallot and cook for 2-3 minutes until it begins to soften.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the ginger, garlic, and half the minced scallions and cook for 45 seconds or until fragrant.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cook the Sauce:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>While the shallot is cooking, combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl, including the soy sauce, fish sauce, sambal oolek or sriracha, Shaoxing wine, ground white pepper, and lime juice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour the sauce into the wok and bring to a boil. Cook for 30-40 seconds. Swirl the sauce around to incorporate it with the aromatics.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cook the Rice:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add the rice to the wok and use your spoon to gently flatten it out across the wok and into the sauce. Cook without moving for 1 minute.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Incorporate the Egg:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pour the whisked eggs over the rice and cook for 1 minute more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using your spoon or spatula, turn the rice and eggs into each other and flip until the egg is mixed well into the rice and the rice is well-coated with the sauce.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cook the Crab:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fold the crab and half the cilantro into the rice and cook, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 minutes more. Be careful not to overmix the crab as you want to maintain some of the large lumps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Taste and season the crab fried rice to your tastes, adding more soy sauce, fish sauce, or sambal oolek as desired. Turn off the heat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To Serve:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Divide the crab fried rice between bowls and garnish with the remaining scallions and cilantro.
