{"id":4799,"date":"2023-09-28T12:44:40","date_gmt":"2023-09-28T12:44:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=4799"},"modified":"2023-10-22T05:45:04","modified_gmt":"2023-10-22T05:45:04","slug":"luk-chup-mung-bean-sweets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/09\/28\/luk-chup-mung-bean-sweets\/12\/44\/4799\/40\/appdev2098\/thai-food-3\/desserts-thai-food-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Luk Chup \u2013 mung bean sweets"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INGREDIENTS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>250g dried Mung bean<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup coconut milk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FOR COATING<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 Tbsp agar agar powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 cups water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4 cup sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food colouring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DIRECTIONS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rinse and soak the Mung bean in water for three hours and then steam for about 20 minutes or until cooked well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a blender or food processor, grind the Mung bean with the sugar and coconut milk until smooth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour the mixture into a brass wok or non-stick pan and gently cook over medium low heat until it thickens and the paste is dry to a touch and shapeable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leave it to cool then mould into fruit or vegetable shapes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the food colouring to colour the miniatures.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TO MAKE THE COATING<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dissolve the agar powder in water and bring to a boil then add sugar and reduce the heat to simmer for 5 minutes. Take off the heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dip the fruit shapes in the liquid then leave to dry for a few minutes.
