{"id":5036,"date":"2023-10-04T12:57:33","date_gmt":"2023-10-04T12:57:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=5036"},"modified":"2023-10-04T12:57:34","modified_gmt":"2023-10-04T12:57:34","slug":"sweet-and-sour-pork-with-pineapple","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/10\/04\/sweet-and-sour-pork-with-pineapple\/12\/57\/5036\/33\/appdev2098\/chinese-food-two\/new-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Sweet And Sour Pork With Pineapple"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MARINADE PORK:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>300g\u00a0\/0.67lb\u00a0Pork tenderloin, pork collar (pork neck, collar butt), or shoulder,\u00a0<em>cut into 2cm 3\/4&#8243; cubes.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0rice wine,\u00a0Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0canned pineapple juice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0soy sauce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0beaten\u00a0egg<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0cornstarch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0baking soda,\u00a0you can use 1.5 tablespoons of beer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CHINESE SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3\u00a0tablespoons\u00a0ketchup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2\u00a0tablespoons\u00a0sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2\u00a0tablespoons\u00a0cane pineapple juice,\u00a0<em>or apple cider vinegar<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2\u00a0tablespoons\u00a0soy sauce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100\u00a0ml\u00a0water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0cornstarch<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PAN FRY PORK:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4~6\u00a0tablespoons\u00a0cornstarch or Tapioca starch<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">STIR FRY:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2\u00a0tablespoons\u00a0canola oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2\u00a0gloves\u00a0garlic,\u00a0<em>,minced<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>half\u00a0green pepper,\u00a0<em>,cut into 1\u201d chunks<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>half\u00a0red pepper,\u00a0<em>,cut into 1\u201d chunks<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4\u00a0slices\u00a0canned pineapple\u00a0<em>,chunks<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Prepare the pork\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 To make the meat more tender, always\u00a0<strong>cut against the grain direction<\/strong>. Cut them into 2cm 3\/4&#8243; cubes. (Note 1)You can refer to my other post,\u00a0<strong>&#8220;<\/strong>How To Velvet Beef (Prok) For Stir Fry?<strong>&#8220;<\/strong>\u00a0I&#8217;ll show you how to cut the pork (and other red meat) and how to tenderize it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Marinate&nbsp;pork \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>you add canned pineapple juice first and massage it with your hands. Then add the rice wine or Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry) and message again. Finally add soy sauce, beaten egg, baking soda, and cornstarch and message them. Marinate for&nbsp;<strong>at least 10 minutes&nbsp;<\/strong>(you can also leave it overnight). (Note 2 &amp; 3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Put 6 tablespoons of cornstarch on the plate. Dip the pork in the cornstarch on both sides and gently shake off the excess cornstarch. Place them on the plate and separate them, but let them get wet for pan fry. (Note 4)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mix Chinese Sweet and Sour Sauce \u2013<\/strong>&nbsp;Whisk together water, sugar, canned pineapple juice, soy sauce, and cornstarch in a small bowl. Set aside.&nbsp;(Note 5)&nbsp;<strong>Don&#8217;t add the ketchup to the bowl,&nbsp;<\/strong>see Note 7.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prepare the vegetables \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>wash and cut the vegetables into 1&#8243; cubes. Set aside.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PAN FRIED PORK:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In a large wok or skillet, heat 2 tablespoons canola oil over medium heat. &nbsp;Place the pork in it in&nbsp;<strong>a single layer<\/strong>. When you put the pork in, dip it into the oil in the pan to crisp it up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Don&#8217;t turn it,&nbsp;<\/strong>but wait for 2 to 3 minutes before turning the other side. Fry it until it&#8217;s golden brown and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. (Note 6)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">STIR FRIED:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>In the same pan<\/strong>, turn the heat to medium then add&nbsp;<strong>the garlic and<\/strong>&nbsp;fry it for 1 minute, then add&nbsp;<strong>ketchup<\/strong>, and fry it for 1 minute. (Note 7)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Add green and red bell pepper<\/strong>&nbsp;and fry them for 1 minute.
