{"id":5713,"date":"2023-10-13T04:22:37","date_gmt":"2023-10-13T04:22:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=5713"},"modified":"2023-10-22T05:20:30","modified_gmt":"2023-10-22T05:20:30","slug":"mizu-yokan-japanese-red-bean-jelly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/10\/13\/mizu-yokan-japanese-red-bean-jelly\/04\/22\/5713\/37\/appdev2098\/japanese-recipes-3\/3-desserts-recipes\/","title":{"rendered":"Mizu Yokan (Japanese Red Bean Jelly)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INGREDIENTS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2\u00a0g\u00a0kanten powder\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0(1 stick usually contains 4g)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15\u00a0g\u00a0granulated sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>500\u00a0ml\u00a0water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>400\u00a0g\u00a0smooth red bean paste\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0(koshian)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0pinch\u00a0salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INSTRUCTIONS&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add&nbsp;<strong>2 g kanten powder<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>15 g granulated sugar<\/strong>&nbsp;to a cold saucepan and mix them together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add&nbsp;<strong>500 ml water<\/strong>&nbsp;to the pan and whisk.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heat the pan on medium until it starts to boil.&nbsp;Once it&#8217;s boiling, set a timer for 2 minutes and stir continuously.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After two minutes, reduce the heat to low and add&nbsp;<strong>400 g smooth red bean paste<\/strong>&nbsp;one-quarter at a time while mixing continuously. Make sure the mixture is smooth with no lumps before adding the next quarter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the koshian has melted and incorporated into the mixture, add&nbsp;<strong>1 pinch salt<\/strong>&nbsp;and turn off the heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continue mixing for 1 minute to help release the heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour the mixture into molds or a Japanese &#8220;nagashikan&#8221; tray and leave to cool to room temperature (Approx 20 mins)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once cool, cover and transfer to the refrigerator. Chill for 30 mins or until fully set.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you used a nagashikan or similar, cut your mizu yokan into slices.
