{"id":8270,"date":"2023-12-02T06:07:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-02T06:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=8270"},"modified":"2023-12-02T06:07:01","modified_gmt":"2023-12-02T06:07:01","slug":"honey-garlic-salmon-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/02\/honey-garlic-salmon-2\/06\/07\/8270\/00\/appdev2098\/fish-recipes-three\/1-easy-salmon\/","title":{"rendered":"Honey Garlic Salmon"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1&nbsp;pound salmon fillets, skin on<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd tablespoon\u00a0neutral oil, for pan frying<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc cup&nbsp;regular soy sauce (or tamari or coconut aminos, for gluten-free)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc cup&nbsp;honey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tablespoon&nbsp;rice vinegar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tablespoon&nbsp;olive oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc teaspoon&nbsp;garlic powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2&nbsp;garlic cloves, grated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon&nbsp;fresh grated ginger<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tablespoon&nbsp;cornstarch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 tablespoons&nbsp;water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For the garnish: Minced green onions, toasted sesame seeds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Place the salmon on a plate on the counter and allow it to come to room temperature before cooking, about 15 to 20 minutes (this is about the time it takes for the oven to preheat). Pat the fillets dry, then rub\u00a0neutral oil\u00a0on all sides of salmon. Sprinkle with\u00a0kosher salt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0F.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meanwhile, make the sauce (makes \u00bd cup):&nbsp;In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, oil, garlic powder, grated ginger and grated garlic over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and then reduce the heat to low.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a small bowl, whisk together the water and cornstarch. Pour the mixture into the saucepan and whisk until the sauce thickens, about 1 minute. Remove from the heat. (Use immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.)&nbsp;Divide the honey garlic sauce into a bowl with 3 tablespoons and a bowl with the remainder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When the oven is preheated, heat a dry oven-proof skillet over high heat until very hot. Place the salmon skin side up onto the hot skillet. Cook without touching for 2 to 3 minutes to sear the top of the salmon, until the center of the salmon is starting to cook and you see a layer of cooked flesh. Turn off the heat and use a thin spatula to flip the salmon. Brush the top and sides of the salmon with the reserved 3 tablespoons honey garlic sauce.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the skillet in the oven and bake for 3 to 5 minutes (depending on thickness of salmon), until just cooked through. The internal temperature should be between 125 to 130\u00b0F when measured at the thickest point of the fillet.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use a hot pad to remove the skillet from the oven. Spoon the desired amount of remaining honey garlic sauce onto the top (typically we use another 3 tablespoons).
