{"id":8903,"date":"2023-12-07T11:37:16","date_gmt":"2023-12-07T11:37:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=8903"},"modified":"2023-12-07T11:37:16","modified_gmt":"2023-12-07T11:37:16","slug":"french-onion-soup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/07\/french-onion-soup\/11\/37\/8903\/16\/appdev2098\/soup-recipes-one\/creamy\/","title":{"rendered":"FRENCH ONION SOUP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INGREDIENTS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4\u00a0pounds\u00a0yellow onions, peeled and thinly sliced\u00a0(approximately\u00a05\u20136\u00a0large onions)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 tablespoons&nbsp;butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4&nbsp;cloves garlic, minced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 tablespoons&nbsp;flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 cup&nbsp;dry white wine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 cups\u00a0of beef stock\u00a0(or veggie stock)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon&nbsp;Worcestershire sauce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;bay leaf<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3\u00a0sprigs fresh thyme\u00a0(or\u00a01 teaspoon\u00a0dried thyme)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fine sea salt and freshly-cracked black pepper, to taste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>baguette<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>grated or sliced cheese\u00a0(such as Gruyere, Asiago, Swiss, Gouda or Mozzarella)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INSTRUCTIONS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caramelize the onions.\u00a0<\/strong>In a large heavy-bottomed\u00a0stockpot, melt the butter over\u00a0medium-high heat. \u00a0Add the onions and saut\u00e9 until well for about 30 minutes until caramelized (but not burnt), initially stirring every 3-5 minutes, then about once a minute near the end of caramelization to prevent burning*.\u00a0 Add garlic and saut\u00e9 for 2 minutes. \u00a0Stir in the flour and cook for an additional 1 minute. \u00a0Stir in the wine to deglaze the pan, using a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits on the bottom of the pan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Simmer the soup.&nbsp;<\/strong>Add the stock, Worcestershire, bay leaf, and thyme and stir to combine.
