{"id":9043,"date":"2023-12-08T05:39:56","date_gmt":"2023-12-08T05:39:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=9043"},"modified":"2023-12-08T05:39:57","modified_gmt":"2023-12-08T05:39:57","slug":"japanese-vegetable-soup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/08\/japanese-vegetable-soup\/05\/39\/9043\/56\/appdev2098\/soup-recipes-four\/japanese-soup-recipes-four\/","title":{"rendered":"Japanese Vegetable Soup"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00bd&nbsp;pack firm tofu\/momen tofu&nbsp;(about 200g\/7.1oz)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>50g\/1.8oz&nbsp;carrot thinly sliced to 3mm thick&nbsp;(note 1)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>70g\/2.5oz&nbsp;daikon&nbsp;, sliced to 3mm\/\u215b&#8221; thick then into quarters or 1\/6 pie shape (note 2)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>50g\/1.8oz&nbsp;shimeji mushrooms&nbsp;, de-clustered to individual or a few tiny bunch of mushrooms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100g\/3.5oz&nbsp;taro&nbsp;, peeled and cut into bite size pieces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>125g\/4.4oz\u00a0konnyaku\u00a0(1\/2 pack)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>500ml\/1.1pt&nbsp;boiling water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;stem shallot\/scallions&nbsp;, cut to 2.5cm\/1&#8243; long<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;tbsp&nbsp;sesame oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd&nbsp;tbsp&nbsp;oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dashi Broth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>800ml\/1.7pt\u00a0dashi stock\u00a0(note 3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2\u00a0tbsp\u00a0soy sauce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2&nbsp;tbsp&nbsp;sake<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A pinch of salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wrap the tofu in kitchen paper and place it on a tilted cutting board. Place a small cutting board or a container with a weight in it on the tofu. Leave it for 30 minutes or so. Do this step before preparing the vegetables.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cut konnyaku lengthwise into three equal strips. Then slice each strip perpendicular to the first cut to 5mm thick. Pouer boiling water over the konnyaku pieces. Drain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cut the pressed tofu into half, horizontal to the cutting board. Cut the two layers of tofu lengthwise to half, then cut to 1.5cm thick perpendicular to the second cut.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add sesame oil and oil in a saucepan and heat over high heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Put all the vegetables except shallots and tofu into the pan and stir fry until the vegetable pieces are coated in oil (1-1.5 minutes).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add tofu, then the Dashi Broth ingredients. Bring it to a boil, place a lid on and cook for about 5 minutes or until the vegetables are cooked through.
