{"id":9640,"date":"2023-12-22T11:00:14","date_gmt":"2023-12-22T11:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/?p=9640"},"modified":"2023-12-22T11:00:15","modified_gmt":"2023-12-22T11:00:15","slug":"chickpea-potato-curry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saad.appscodestudio.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/22\/chickpea-potato-curry\/11\/00\/9640\/14\/appdev2098\/slow-cooker-two\/dinner-slow-cooker-two\/","title":{"rendered":"Chickpea &#038; Potato Curry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 tablespoon canola oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 medium onion, chopped<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 garlic cloves, minced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 teaspoons minced fresh gingerroot<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 teaspoons ground coriander<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon garam masala<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon chili powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon ground cumin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon ground turmeric<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 can (15 ounces) crushed tomatoes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 cans (15 ounces each) chickpeas or garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 large baking potato, peeled and cut into 3\/4-inch cubes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2-1\/2 cups vegetable stock<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tablespoon lime juice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chopped fresh cilantro<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hot cooked rice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optional: Sliced red onion and lime wedges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat; saute onion until tender, 2-4 minutes. Add garlic, ginger and dry seasonings; cook and stir 1 minute. Stir in tomatoes; transfer to a 3- or 4-qt. slow cooker.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stir in chickpeas, potato and stock. Cook, covered, on low until potato is tender and flavors are blended, 6-8 hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stir in lime juice; sprinkle with cilantro.
