Weeknight dinners don’t get much easier and tastier than a classic sloppy Joes! My turkey sloppy joes is a healthier option, made with simple ingredients and ready to serve in 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground turkey – you could also use ground beef
- 1/2 of a small onion – chopped
- 1 cup ketchup I used Heinz Simply Ketchup but any brand will work
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium skillet, set the stove to medium heat, and brown the ground turkey and chopped onions.
- Once the meat is brown and no longer pink and the onions are tender, add the ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to taste to the skillet and mix together.
- Turn the stove down to medium low and let it simmer for about 10 min, as it simmers it will thicken and allow the flavors to meld together.
- Get your favorite bun toast it or don’t, and fill it up with the delicious sloppy Joe meat and enjoy!!
